The BM600E is an pickup-equipped A-Style mandolin named after Wimborne in the English county of Dorset. It was during the late 19th century that Albert Mullins and S Bowley Barnes first met in the town of Wimborne and formed the friendship upon which the next few decades of performance and business would be founded.

I purchased this for a friend who was unable to get it for himself. As a non-musician, I found it absolutely beautiful, well made and high quality. When he received it, he said that while his old, cheap one was musically correct, this one "sang". He has not tried the electrical side of things yet. It does come pre-strung but (and not criticising here) it does not come with a strap. Not saying it should but it would have been a good "this is often bought with..." link on the site. Phone consultation pointed me to the correct capo to go with it. Fast shipping, very well packaged. Can't say enough good things about these guys.

Delighted with mandolin. The only minor fault I would have is there isn?t a Volume/Tone control.
