What we say:
At A Glance:
The EC-1000 in Amber Sunburst has all of the performance needed for the modern guitarist. The single cut, 24.75" scale length, set-thru neck design clearly takes inspiration from a classic model, but it's the refinements that are where ESP really shine. With some well placed contours in the body and sharpened edges, the Eclipse is less 'clunky' than its competition. The mahogany body and maple cap combination handles all of the bite and attack needed, but with a prominent mid range to thicken up your tone. With a TonePros TOM style bridge and tailpiece and two Seymour Duncan humbuckers, it's versatility is second to none.
Features We Love:
Seymour Duncan Humbuckers
The guitar features a pickup combination that's engineered for the finest rock tones. The JB humbucker in the bridge position is one of the most popular pickups in rock and metal, it sounds stunning on clean tones and offers amazing detail and note clarity when overdriven.
In the neck position is a '59 that's a perfect match for this guitar. This vintage-voiced pickup is loved for its silky tone and blends beautifully with the JB when you're in the middle toggle position
Gorgeous, Classic Looks
The stunning flame maple top, finished in amber sunburst takes inspiration from sought after vintage instruments but with all of the playability of a modern guitar. Infusing timeless looks with a modern feel is ESP's bread and butter and it really shows in this model.
Slim, Fast Neck Profile
The EC-1000 has a thin U shape neck which is slim, but not so thin that you're left looking for more to grasp. Somewhat of a classic feature to ESP guitars, it will satisfy both the guitarist new to the brand or someone who is well accustomed to the sleek neck shape.
Highlights:
- Pau Ferro fingerboard that looks great with the nickel hardware and will give bite and high end clarity to your playing
- Locking tuners for extremely reliable tuning stability
- Set-thru construction for increased sustain and resonance
