Music Man Sterling Sub Series Ray4 Black Maple Fingerboard

Been saving for a upgrade to my entry level aria bass - wanted something different in sound and style. This is a great mid range bass for the price - the sound is bright and the balance of the guitar is just what I was looking for as some basses are neck heavy, this has a good balance of weight across the whole bass guitar, so not too heavy on either shoulder. Able to play slap and tap. Neck is the right width for me. In all very happy with purchase.

Build quality is great. Mine did come with a slight rough area on the neck but nothing too bad. It's a great bass just lacks a bit of sound quality but I planned on modifying it's electronics in advance of purchasing. My battery was flat upon arrival but guitar guitar were very helpful and offered a small refund so I could order some new battery's.

Brilliant sound, sharp piercing sound reminiscent of flea’s sound. The pickup packs a punch. For a sub series bass from a well known brand i’m super impressed with the quality and price point

Awesome bass. I'm upgrading from a beginner bass I had a couple of years. It's just perfect. Same scale, same weight. The sound is great. Very happy.
