What we say:

At A Glance:

The ESP LTD TE-1000 Black Blast is a pro musicians guitar that is crammed with top of the line hardware. The sandblasted Black Blast finish emphasises the intense grains created by the Swamp Ash body. Bolted onto the body is a roasted maple neck that provides enhanced visual appearance and acts as a more stable wood that is less susceptible to changes in the guitars surrounding environment. Twenty-two extra-jumbo frets have been constructed from Stainless Steel for extended life. Acting as the tone intakes on this machine are a pair of Seymour Duncan pickups. In the bridge is a harmonically rich Pegasus humbucker and in the neck position lies a Sentient. Further expanding their usefulness, both of the pickups can be split for single-coil sounds. Other appointments include locking tuners, hipshot bridge, and string-through-body design.

Features We Love:

Seymour Duncan Pickups

Seymour Duncan is a massive name in the guitar pickup world. They have been hand-building pickups out of there California facility since 1976. Initially designed for extended range instruments, both the Pegasus and Sentient have been adapted for six-stringed guitars out of popular demand. Both pickups have been voiced to handle high gain applications ensuring clarity and articulation are not lost.

Roasted Maple Neck

Roasted maple is created by heating the wood and holding it at a specific temperature for a set time. The aim is to reduce moisture and change the chemical makeup of the neck. A roasted maple neck is less susceptible to humidity changes and will require fewer adjustments than a traditional maple neck. Another advantage is a smoother finish which is preferred by a lot of players.

Swamp Ash Body

A great wood for modern instruments when players are looking to play with higher gain but still cut through. Swamp Ash is known for it's distinct look, which in this case is accentuated by the sandblasted finish, but also it's bright resonant tone which is perfect for players who like a snappier response.

Highlights:

  • Push/pull coil split for increased versatility
  • Roasted maple for a more stable neck that looks and feels great
  • String through body bridge design increases resonance
