What we say:

At A Glance:

The TOD10N Tim Henson Tree Of Death Transparent Black Flat by Ibanez is an impressive signature model for Polyphia's Tim Henson. This collaboration with Ibanez has resulted in a striking, yet understated guitar that has been designed to promote fluid playing and precise tone. Tim has been notable for his virtuosic playing for years, but his recent exploration into Latin inspired technical playing and use of nylon string guitars has seen his creativity flourish. The guitar features many professional features, from the Fishman Sonicore pickup and custom preamp, to the solid Sitka spruce and Sapele construction with fan bracing, care has been taken to ensure you're getting the very best from a guitar that'll bring out the very best in your playing.

Features We Love:

"Tree of Death" Inlay

A tasteful twist on the classic Ibanez "Tree of Life" design, the inlay design works its way up the fingerboard beautifully in a way that matches the guitar's and Tim's dark aesthetic.

Side Sound Port

The guitar features a sound port that projects the acoustic sound of the guitar towards the player, this means you not only get a great audible connection with the guitar even when it's not plugged in, you can also feel the guitar resonate proudly as you play.

Fishman Sonicore Pickup

The combination of the Fishman a Sonicore pickup with the Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp makes this guitar incredibly useful. The pickup system captures the natural tone of the guitar, while the preamp lets you fine tune your sound to get it sounding crisp and detailed. There's also a large format tuner built into the control panel, making accurate tuning an efficient process.

Who Is It For?

Polyphia fans will definitely love this guitar, but it's also a great option for any player who is looking for a high performance classical guitar with a detailed pickup system.

Highlights:

  • Design that comfortably fits the body
  • Precise tone thanks to the Fishman pickup
  • A beautiful modern take on classical guitar

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4/5 (1 reviews)

A very good quality guitar at this price point designed by Ibanez and made in Indonesia. Out of the box, factory set up was very good with great resonance and playability at medium action, to appeal to both guitarists coming from electric guitar and classical traditions. The ordering and delivery by Guitarguitar was excellent. Well done Ibanez, Indonesian guitar makers, Guitarguitar and Neil, the excellent guitar tech, who twicked it to my preference. Certainly the American, Japanese and Spanish guitar makers have a very serious and increasingly competitive guitar maker to contend with. It deserves 5 stars once I find how it's sound quality blossoms as this Ibanenz TOD10N matures. ??????????
