TCI S Pickups

TCI stands for Tuned Capacitance and Inductance pickups. Voicing a pickup is a balancing act between capacitance and inductance. The issue is when you change one, you also affect the other. There are many ways to change these factors, for example, pickup construction, materials used, or gauge of wire, to name a few. PRS have found a set way to tune their pickups to sound how they want them to sound. This idea sounds simple, but in a world where numerous small factors can have significant implications on the sound, it is a precise and sought after process.

Expanded Switching Options

The SE Custom 24-08 implies one of its unique features in its name. The two mini-toggle switches allow you to tap each humbucker individually, resulting in eight possible switching options. Wide Thin Neck
