What we say:

At A Glance:

The Ibanez AZ427P2QM 7 String Twilight Blue Burst is an astounding 7 string for those who take their playing seriously. The AZ models are known for their comfort and ergonomic design, all with the goal of creating a fluent playing experience. This is achieved in the Premium series thanks to the excellent levels of craft and top hardware choices. The AZ427P2QM would make an excellent choice for those playing modern heavy music or fusion styles, thanks to its adaptable features.

Gotoh locking tuners and a T1572S tremolo plus a Graph Tech nut give you the best hardware for a flawless performance. Add in stainless steel frets and Seymour Duncan pickups plus the Dyna-MIX10 Switching System, and you get a 7 string that is taking no prisoners!

Features We Love:

Quilted Maple Top

The American basswood body is topped with a gorgeous piece of quilted maple. The Twilight Blue Burst finish frames it around the edges and adds a nice bit of contrast to make the grain of the wood really pop out. If you want a guitar with an eye-catching look then you can't go wrong with this classy number!

Seymour Duncan Hyperion 7 Pickups

The AZ427P2QM is rigged with the Seymour Duncan Hyperion 7 HH pickup set, featuring moderate output through Alnico-5 magnets to ensure a clear pick attack and fundamental tone, even when using loads of gain. These pickups are paired with Ibanez's dyna-MIX 10 switching system with Alter Switch. In position 1, the selector gives you a 5-way HH pickup selection profile. In position 2, the humbuckers are Power Tapped to deliver a lower, more singlecoil-esque output level and tone, without removing the hum-cancelling capabilities. In total, you have 10 unique sound options.

Roasted Maple Neck

Ibanez's roasting process on the AZ427P2QM's maple neck ensures an unparalleled level of durability, stability, and tolerance of temperature changes. This makes it an outstanding tool to stand up to anything heavy playing and touring can throw at it. The neck profile on this guitar is gorgeously playable, thanks to the smooth AZ7 Oval C neck shape.

Highlights:

• 7 strings allow for an extended range plus you still get a tremolo!
• Gorgeous quilted maple top
• Plenty of sound options thanks to the dyna-MIX 10 switching
