This 1959 Les Paul™ Standard Reissue, finished in a striking Amber Burst and Heavy Aged by the artisans of the Murphy Lab, continues that tradition with a guitar that feels every bit as seasoned and alive as a well-played original from the first Gibson Golden Age. Every detail was shaped with intention, drawing on decades of Made to Measure orders for inspiration and the collective expertise of the luthiers and craftspeople at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee.

At the heart of this instrument is a remarkable two-piece AAA figured maple top, hand-selected by the Made to Measure team for its expressive flame and character. Set atop a solid, one-piece, lightweight, non-weight-relieved mahogany body and wrapped in a single-ply top binding, it delivers the familiar depth, presence, and dimension that define an exceptional Les Paul Standard. The Heavy Aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish not only captures the visual characteristics of a well-loved vintage original, but also invites a tactile connection that feels both familiar and inspiring from the moment you pick it up.

The one-piece mahogany neck is carved to the revered Authentic 1959 profile and joined with a long neck tenon for outstanding resonance and sustain. Its rosewood fretboard, set with cellulose trapezoid inlays and framed by single-ply binding, features a 12-inch radius and 22 reissue medium jumbo frets, offering a classic, confident playing experience. A nylon nut completes the period-correct details.

A matched pair of covered Custombucker Alnico 4 pickups with Double Classic White bobbins delivers a dynamic, articulate voice that captures the musicality and nuance players cherish in late-50s Patent Applied For-style humbucker™ pickups. Paired with two volume and two tone controls and a three-way toggle switch, this guitar offers the broad palette of expressive tonal colors that made the 1959 Les Paul Standard legendary.

Aged nickel hardware, including an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, Kluson® Deluxe tuning machines, and a Stop Bar tailpiece, brings a classic presentation and reliable performance. Cream plastics, gold Top Hat knobs, and aged nickel pickup covers complete a look that honors the late-50s era with precision.
