About Vox Electric Guitars
Vox Electric Guitars may not be as iconic as their amps, Vox guitars have become cult classics after producing some of the quirkiest, most era-defining guitars of the 60s. The Vox Teardrop and Vox Phantom electric guitars in particular were played by The Rolling Stones, The Hollies and Dusty Springfield.
The most recent Vox electric guitars harken back to the Swingin’ Sixties with the Bobcat semi-hollow body guitars. They have been brought up to date for modern styles with more playable necks, a chambered centre-block to control feedback while style retaining the airiness and hotter pickups to provide more punch.
Why Should I Choose a Vox Electric Guitar?
- Cult classics from the Sixties
- Modernised and improved for contemporary standards
- Unique and inspiring tones
Frequently Asked Questions about Vox Electric Guitars
Question: Are Vox electric guitars any good?
Vox guitars over the last 60 years have frankly been hit or miss. The guitars made in Italy in the sixties have plenty of charm and vibe but are a bit wonky and not up to muster by current standards. New Vox Guitars however, especially the Bobcat semi-hollow guitars, are much more solid feeling guitars built to an impeccable standard in Korea. They still have plenty of mojo but are much more reliable and powerful sounding.
