Published on 02 March 2020

Van-living, photographer, musician, Aussie made Simeon Baker is a solo acoustic guitarist predominantly known for his Percussive 'lap tap' style. Since leaving his home in Adelaide six years ago and moving to London, things have been pretty crazy. He has busked his way around the UK and mainland Europe, performing to crowds of people every day - so there is a pretty good chance that you've already heard the sweet, sweet sounds that come with every performance of his.

Taking influence from artists such as Tommy Emmanuel and Andy Mckee, Simeon has developed his own unique style of percussive guitar that utterly mesmerising to watch.

Whilst on his travels around Scotland, Simeon stopped by our Glasgow store to play a session for us and to chat about his very distinctive style of playing, life on the road and what he's got planned for this year.

Have a listen to his track 'Roads' and interview below! And, who knows. Maybe one day you'll see him busking on a street near you!
