Just what I was after, tone wize; a distortion pedal to give the 'ole Fender Stratocaster that screeeeam, that searing lead tone Hendrix got from Isabella; his white Strat he took to Woodstock. Thats with the turbo set at 2, At 1 you get a lovely warm tone, reminiscent of germanium or silicon transistor fuzz pedals of the 60's with a smidgen less gain. Most vital, when I want distortion, is six individual, discernable notes to be heard together on power chords. You get this here however hard you crank it up, with no wall of mush. I recommend putting a good overdrive pedal in front of it, such at the Boss Super Overdrive SD-1 to shape your tone even further.
