What we say:

Electro-Harmonix now make Muff pedals in all shapes and sizes. This Nano model provides you with that classic fuzz but houses it in a box that should fit on even the most crowded pedalboards.

The Big Muff is famous for it's loud fuzzy growl that can be smooth or abrasive depending on how you set the controls. Countless classic songs from the seventies through the Grunge era till now have featured the endless sustain of a Big Muff. This small, true-bypass version continues the legend.

Specification

  • Crushing distortion
  • Singing sustain with attitude
  • Compact, rugged nano enclosure
  • True bypass
  • Adjustable tone
  • 9-volt battery included
  • 9-volt power supply (not included)

Overall Rating 4.6 (8 reviews)

Great sound from this pedal - nano size fits perfectly on my small pedal board.

Still getting use to this peddle, but sure it will be a great asset.

Glen S. - 27/9/2020

Yep - bang on and not expensive either.

Adam R. - 16/8/2020

Nice gritty fuzz sound, simple to use, really fun pedal

Andy B. - 8/3/2020

really good sound from this effect

I've had a troubled history with fuzz pedals but I really like this one. I bought a cheap mini pedal a few years ago but it clamps down into full compression in a very unmusical way when I play my main guitars through it. I tried the Big Muff on a bit on a whim and was really impressed by its dynamic responsiveness to guitar volume settings and picking attack. The controls have a fairly wide sweep making it quite a versatile little pedal. I'm docking one star because I feel that it could have a bit more volume. This may well be a non-issue for other users because it could be due to my signal chain and I have to confess a weird (i.e. ridiculous) fixation with having loads of (unused) volume on tap *just in case*. It's silly, don't be like that. The Nano Big Muff is a fine pedal, it delivers what you'd expect from a fuzz box, it does 'that sound' really well and is versatile enough to approximate guitar sounds from different genres and decades (Cramps, Sabbath, L7 - all there). Have fun!

Honey sweet tones to classic distortion and small enough to squeeze onto my board. Absolutely chuffed with my Pi.

Mark B. - 5/4/2018

Sounds exactly like the original Big Muff but takes up a fraction of the space in your pedal board. It's a little beaut
