At the top end of Takamine's G-series are guitars like this GY93. This top class guitar has Takamine's parlour-like New Yorker body shape, a style that has become resoundingly popular in recent years. The New Yorker has a small body (still full size scale though) and is particularly portable: it's a very playable guitar too with it's 12" radius neck and extremely comfortable body design.

The top is made from solid Spruce to bring character and liveliness to the sound: this guitar is also surprisingly loud given its dimensions! The back is particularly beautiful: it is made of two pieces of Rosewood flanking a lovely piece of Quilted Maple! It is a fantastic and classic design that really elevates the visual appeal of the guitar. Along with that, binding on the neck and headstock meets multi-ply binding on the body for an even greater appearance. Gold and Black tuners and a high gloss finish complete the distinguished look.

Players planning on gracing the stage can do so in style with this Takamine: not only will it look great on stage, it'll sound great too with the built in TK-40D pickup and preamp. This unit has a panel built into the upper shoulder of the guitar which gives you a tuner, a 3-band EQ, a gain control, a notch filter (for getting rid of troublesome feedback frequencies) and an EQ bypass control.
