What we say:

At A Glance:

The Les Paul Standard '50s has been designed with the intention of grouping together the features that typify this period for Gibson. Without being a specific vintage reissue, this model will deliver a definitive Les Paul experience!

The body of this model has zero weight relief, a bonus for Les Paul aficionados, some who believe the drill holes used by Gibson to remove the heft of a solid mahogany body, take with them some of the tone. Gibson have listened to those who are after a 'full fat' Les Paul, and have delivered exactly that.

Features We Love:

Full Fat Les Paul

A point of contention, some believe that the chambered body of newer Les Pauls can have a thinner tone than what you would expect to get from a Les Paul. This model has none of that! This mahogany body has zero weight relief giving you the 'full fat' Les Paul tone so many desire. But make sure your shoulder is ready for the heft!

Vintage '50s Neck

Some what more substantial than Gibson's 'Slim Taper' neck profile, the 'Vintage '50s' neck feels great in your hands and is fantastic for both rhythm and lead playing. We'd even go as far as to say that larger necks are more comfortable over a longer period of time rockin' out!

P-90 Pickups

P-90s are great! You get all the bark and aggression of a humbucker with all the snap of a single coil. An authoritative tone you won't get sick of!

Highlights:

  • Zero weight relief, giving the 'full fat' Les Paul tone
  • The larger 'Vintage '50s' neck feels great and will have you playing all night long!

P90s give a great alternative to the usual LP humbuckers, try one out!

John R. - 29/7/2024

Amazing guitar! The finish is just incredible; not only is this a guitar to be enjoyed but a guitar that’s seen as an ornament on the wall. They really are precious and extremely valuable. To be cherished! Enjoy future buyers.

David R. - 11/6/2022

Love everything about this guitar it's perfect in every way

Grant R. - 12/12/2021

Beautiful guitar with great sound and warmth. Unsurprisingly, there are some minor finish flaws such as a noticeable ridge along the neck binding and a small nick in the binding close to the 12th fret. Some of the pole pieces are a bit chewed too. But hey...don?t buy a Gibson if you want it perfect I was once told. Worth every penny even with the flaws.

Simon R. - 30/5/2021

Best guitar I own but always takes a while to bond with a guitar!
