What we say:
At A Glance:
ESP E-II Eclipse is a versatile friend to the advanced guitarist. Iconic EMG pickups give this guitar a ripping tone straight out the gate, ready to take on the heaviest styles with ease. A mahogany body is a sturdy foundation on which this instrument is built. The ESP E-II Eclipse has been carefully crafted in ESP's Tokyo facility, never falling short on quality. A coalition of high-grade hardware from Gotoh and EMG should cater to highly demanding performance situations. You can put your trust in the names that bring this workhorse to life.
Features We Love:
EMG pickups
A set of EMG pickups power this Eclipse model, with an 81 in the bridge and a 60 in the neck. The EMG 81 is the quintessential metal pickup, having been used by some of the biggest artists in the world for decades to achieve a tight, crunchy rhythm tone that never gets lost even with the highest gain amplifiers. The EMG 60 provides a hot but smooth tone that's perfect for lead lines and solos however, it's clean tone can't be underestimated as even with it's output it can provide beautifully delicate tones.
Gotoh Locking Tuner
Gotoh is a name known for quality guitar hardware production. Locking tuners remove any string slippage at the tuning peg resulting in tighter tuning stability. The locking tuner mechanism also makes for rapid string changes. A string break can occur at any moment in time, and locking tuners allow you to recover quickly in a live scenario.
Fast Playing Neck
The faster player will welcome the profile of the Thin U neck. When combining the flatter curve of the 305mm fretboard radius with the thin neck profile, you get a modern playing instrument which is easy to navigate efficiently. Twenty-two Extra Jumbo frets are crafted into the ebony fingerboard. Larger frets are often celebrated for adding improved playability to an instrument as they require a lighter touch.
Highlights:
- EMG pickups produce iconic tones
- Thin U profile and 305mm radius gives you a fast-playing neck
