What we say:

At A Glance:

The Acoustasonic Player Telecaster Shadow Burst Rosewood Fingerboard builds on the huge success of Fender's innovative hybrid design and comes in at a more affordable price point. Crafted at Fender's Ensenada facility in Mexico, production has been kept to a high standard while opening up the Acoustasonic to even more guitarists by including it as part of their celebrated Player Series.

While it does share many features with its famed American counterpart such as the spruce and mahogany wood pairing, it also differs in some other ways. Power comes from a 9V battery which means no waiting during recharge time, the number of voices is slightly reduced, and new colour options also set it apart with its own bold look. With the iconic Telecaster body shape, what's not to love about this superb music maker!

Features We Love:

Tuned Soundhole

Essential to the sound of the Acoustasonic, this is the same patented Tuned Soundhole design as used on the American models. Not only is it integral to the natural acoustic voice of the guitar, it is also the basis of the amplified sound. After all, what use is a great pickup system if it amplifies a bad sound? The "waterfall" port provides the best sonic foundation upon which to build.

Six Voices

The Tim Shaw designed N4 Noiseless pickup plus the Fishman piezo under saddle pickup capture the sound wonderfully and open up a huge range of tone options. Partnered with a 3 Way Switch and a Blend Knob to move between the A and B sounds, the Acoustasonic Player Telecaster gives you 6 voices at your fingertips. These include Dirty, Lo-fi Crunch, and Rosewood Dreadnought, to name but a few.

Familiar to Play

Being a well-made hybrid style guitar, you get the best of both worlds here. Included are many features that give an unmistakable Fender electric guitar feel. A Deep C neck shape and forearm contour provide excellent levels of comfort and the sculpted neck heel makes reaching higher frets just as easy as on Fender's high-end electric models. For those more familiar with electric guitars, the switch across to an Acoustasonic Player Telecaster is effortless.

  • A more affordable Acoustasonic as part of the Player Series
  • Has many features in common with its American counterpart
  • 6 voices are available from the Fender/Fishman-designed pickup system
  • Great for home, studio, and stage use
