Home to some of the most talented luthiers in the world, Fender Custom Shop has been producing incredible guitars since they first opened back in 1987. With a wealth of knowledge and skill all under one roof, each guitar is instilled with some of that Custom Shop magic.
Ancho Poblano Pickups
These spicy singlecoils are the shining centerpiece of this already superb guitar. The middle and neck pickups are uniquely calibrated from string to string for enhanced solo work, while the flat-pole bridge pickup delivers a powerful toneful punch. Each pickup is individually hand wound and potted with secret “Custom Shop sauce” to curb microphonics while preserving an open yet focused tone.
Relic Finish
This guitar's Relic Aged finish completely evokes the idea of an instrument that's been heavily played but well taken care of over the decades. Taken out regularly for some serious sessions and gigs and put back in its case at the end of the night. The result is the gorgeous light eggshell-cracking to the finish, the wear and tear around the forearm bevel and that unmistakable fingerboard patina that's the sign of a real workhorse.
