Strandberg Boden Essential 6 Black Granite

First thing. When I was looking to purchase the Strandberg Essential I obviously wanted to buy from somewhere that I was confident with. Not having a Strandberg reseller who near me it was internet or bust. After a few phone calls it was apparent that GuitarGuitar were the best option and gave me the most confidence. Now the guitar. I am fortunate to have had many guitars in the past, from Gibson Les Paul's to Ibanez Jems and many in-between. The Strandberg was bought to compliment my current Vigiers as a slightly more portable option. My first thought was that it felt like a toy. It is so small and light. I quickly started getting used to the neck and the guitar. Having had it for almost 3 weeks now it is the guitar that I pick up everyday (as was the intention) and I have done so for at least 30mins each day. Tuning takes a minute to get used to but it seems, so far, to remain fairly stable with just a little adjustment needed over the past few weeks. Pickups aren't bad but are are probably the only thing that I would consider upgrading. Then again, given amp modelliing that we have nowadays, even that isn't essential. Overall I am, at present, happy with the guitar. I like it more than I thought I would. If you get a chance to try one, I would advise giving it a go. You'll ever love it or loath it.

My first strandberg guitar a truly wonderful guitar light weight and the neck is superb, I was a bit worried at first but it’s so comfortable to play. Five way switching give you lush clean tones and for heavy stuff the pickups just sing, all in all a fantastic guitar I would recommend if you haven’t tried one do so they are a revelation

Bought the Strandberg Essential for the ergonomics, as I was developing wrist pain and hoped this would help. I am not sure it will, but I am impressed with the quality, light weight and compactness. GuitarGuitar were very good.
