Designing such a pleasant shaped instrument wasn't without challenges. While far from a traditional design bassist are familiar with, it retains balance and ergonomics. Designed step by step with Richard Bona himself, Markbass started with the KIMANDU body shape, added a smooth back for those who play seated using the classical position (A trending style between bassists), with a lower cutaway designed to offer maximum access to the highest fret, along with the ultra finished and comfortable neck that allows super low action, and finally the innovative headstock design crowning this instrument.

The Gloxy series is equipped with the same MB Instrument Pre that is featured on the premium range of instruments. This onboard preamp is designed from the groundup by Markbass to faithfully reproduce the sound of your instrument. Changes in the volume level when switching from Active to Passive and back again are almost imperceptible - a unique feature of the exceptional circuitry inside.

Simple and ergonomic controls allow you to richly boost or cut your EQ without clipping or distorting the signal - even at the maximum settings - allowing the MB Instrument Pre to work with you in any environment.
