The FG720S is every bit the classic Yamaha FG – from the modified dreadnought body to the workhorse spec designed to play, sound and look great and the fantastic Yamaha setup. FG’s have always been about making a great acoustic guitar, and the latest model is no exception.
First launched in the late ‘60s, the most celebrated decade of contemporary music, the Yamaha FG soon developed legendary status captured on stage in the iconic image of Country Joe McDonald playing his classic FG150 at the Woodstock Festival in 1969. Since that time a generation of aspiring guitarists have grow up playing Yamaha folk guitars developing their creativity and passion for music right up to recent times with artists like Jake Bugg making his first festival and TV appearances relying on his trusty workhorse FG700 – the times they are not a changin’…
