Offset Electric Guitars

Offset Electric Guitars refers to guitars which have an offset waist. The most popular and famous of these are the Fender Jazzmaster, Jaguar and Mustang. Offset guitars are well-loved for their quirky style and popularity with indie, shoegaze and alternative bands. Thanks to their distinctive shape and contours they are also extremely comfortable and well balanced. While the shape is the defining feature that makes a guitar an offset, the unique tremolo system of the Jazzmaster and Jaguar is strongly associated with the shape, and something which has birthed new styles of guitar playing such as playing behind the bridge and extensive tremolo use. Offset guitars are available in a wide range of styles, from traditional vintage-styled models with all the switches to modern stripped-down hardtail humbucker models.
