About Fender Jazzmaster
Fender Jazzmaster is a classic guitar design from Fender introduced in 1958 and was intended to be a successor to Fender's previous models that would also appeal to the jazz guitarist. Although it was not embraced by the jazz community, the Jazzmaster has since gained a devoted following across many styles of music. Many guitarists appreciated the offset body shape, the fresh sounds from its large single-coil pickups and the tremolo tailpiece.
Fender Jazzmaster has been popularised by a number of well-known rock guitarists such as J Mascis, Elvis Costello, Jim Root and Sonic Youth, and are particularly popular in alternative rock. Fender Jazzmaster guitars have an offset waist which makes them super comfortable to play, and that shape paired with the 25.5" scale length is mostly what defines a Jazzmaster, as there are many variations beyond that! Whether it's the vintage style with it's unique single coil pickups and synchronised tremolo or a Jim Root Jazzmaster with hardtail and humbuckers, there is a Jazzmaster to suit any style.

American Vintage models are a perfect encapsulation of the vintage style of the Jazzmaster and offer the absolute best for anyone looking for a premium old-school experience, while Vintera and Player Jazzmaster models offer a similar experience at a more affordable price point. Acoustasonic Jazzmaster models are great for performing musicians looking for a versatile hybrid between electric and acoustic. American Professional II Jazzmaster models offer a more modern take on the guitar. American Professional Classic models offer a simpler take on the style by removing the sometimes confusing rhythm circuit / lead circuit switch and thumbwheel controls. Although some models now feature humbuckers or a hardtail bridge, most stick with the same main features that give the Jazzmaster its distinctive look, feel and sound.
