Over the past few months, we've been working with audio giants Shure to bring you a brand new series giving exposure to the local artists who inspire us. We have been inviting them down to our Glasgow store to perform a couple of original songs and we've had a blast getting to know them and listening to their tunes. With a handful already live on our YouTube Channel, there's no better time to catch up. There's no better thing than discovering new music, right? Right!
Without further ado, let's go...
Ben Monteith
Ben has been making waves in the music scene for a number of years now. He has toured with the likes of Emeli Sande and is well acquainted with his busking videos going viral. Over 58 million views on one video? No sweat! It was an absolute pleasure to have Ben perform at our Glasgow store and to say he blew us away would be an understatement. We love his vibe and can’t get enough of his honest, raw lyrics. Check out his performance below!

Retro Video Club
Let's add some indie rock goodness to your life! Meet our new favourite band, Retro Video Club. Cool name, right? After catching their electrifying set at last year's TRNSMT festival, we just knew we had to get the guys in for a session. Hailing from Edinburgh, the high-octane indie band burst onto the scene back in 2017 and have been killing it ever since! With sold out shows, headline tours and support slots with the likes of Bastille and The Libertines already under their belts, we cannot wait to see where their career takes them in the next couple of years.
Dylan John Thomas
Meet Dylan John Thomas! We've had our eye on Dylan for a while now and whilst also catching his set at TRNSMT (we had a very good time at the festival, as you can see!), it was a no brainer to get him in for a session. Sporting the best hair on the Glasgow music scene, Dylan has spent years honing his craft busking, performing at some of the UK's most iconic venues, building an army of dedicated fans, and even impressing the likes of Gerry Cinnamon and Liam Gallagher. Wise beyond his years, Dylan is an exceptionally talented songwriter with fantastic energy and stage presence. He's also just gone and sold out his debut headline show at the world-famous Barrlowland Ballroom. We predict big things for his future!
Murdo Mitchell
Born and raised in Glasgow and now living in London, Murdo has been on our "ones to watch" list for a while now and it was so great to have him in for a session with us. Murdo has spent years perfecting his craft, playing sold out shows and building an army of dedicated fans. Murdo's performance is utterly captivating. His vocals are insanely smooth, his lyrics are honest and his passion for storytelling is clearly evident. Every song takes you on an emotional rollercoaster and his vulnerable and heart wrenching songwriting style gets you hooked from the get-go. Dive into our session with him below!
