What we say:

New for 2018 is this new APX600 model electro acoustic. Yamaha’s perennially popular APX range uses an original-design body shape thats smaller and thinner than standard acoustics to make for an extremely comfortable fit for guitarists of all sizes. The APX was designed back in the 80s as an acoustic guitar for the stage. The smaller body helped eliminate feedback issues and was a more natural move from an electric guitar during a gig. Further to this, the neck was made with a slim profile to make these onstage adjustments easier too and particular attention was paid to the pickup and preamp system to make the dynamic range and tone as good as guitarists expected it to be.

Refined over the decades to better suit what guitarists need now, this brand new addition to the APX family has a brace of fresh features. It has slightly smaller scale length of 25” (half an inch less than the rest of the range) for a much easier feel. This rethink is continued in the nut width which is more narrow to keep the strings closer together for easier chord stretches.

As well as this, new inner bracing has been designed to allow for more bass response and the electronics were been redesigned to give an even better plugged in tone and response.

This APX600 has a Black finish.

Such a good guitar! Easier to play then my old one. Sounds balanced and strong.
