What we say:

At A Glance:

This Fender American Vintage II 72 Telecaster Thinline Maple Fingerboard in Lake Placid Blue, is a USA-built homage to a true Fender classic. Pulling together an incredible range of vintage specs Fender has created a guitar that throws it right back to the early 70s. A year-specific neck carve on the 1-piece maple, 70's inspired pickups, it's all here to give you that iconic feel in your hands and through your amp. All built with Fender American quality this is a vintage guitar that with the reliability of a modern performance instrument.

Features We Love:

1972 Neck Shape

One of the biggest factors in our enjoyment of a guitar is the neck shape and Fender have kept things true to vintage specs with this era specific neck carve. This 1972 "C" Shape is carved to give the feel of a real '70s Tele custom and offers just the right amount wood to feel comfortable without being too thick.

Wide-Range Humbuckers

The Telecaster Custom goes hand in hand with the humbucker design with the original development of the Wide-Range humbucker being overseen by Seth Lover himself. The CuNiFe humbuckers loaded into this capture that 70's vibe perfectly with a rich low end and clear treble, giving a bright articulate tone.

Vintage Spec, Modern Quality

Fender has recreated as much of that vintage vibe as they can with this model from the year-specific neck shape to the '70s inspired pickups, and every little detail in between. But it doesn't have any of the problems that can sometimes be associated with vintage guitars thanks to the always stellar Fender USA quality. You can pick this guitar up and know you have an instrument you can trust to deliver a great tone and a fantastic playing experience.
