The Chapman ML1 is their Superstrat model. It is available in two versions: the Traditional and the Modern. The Traditional is aimed at the majority players. The Modern is designed for heavier and more technical guitarists. Both feature excellent necks, great fretwork and an overall attention to detail that is impressive.

These guitars have proven themselves to be very popular. Try one out at your nearest store or browse the full range online.

Frequently Asked Questions about Chapman ML1

There are a few significant differences between the Standard and Pro series Chapman ML1 models. For example, the Standard series ML1 is made in Indonesia while the Pro series model is made in Korea. The Standard Series has a bolt on neck while the Pro Series ML1 is a true neck-through build. This is a pretty significant upgrade in our opinion! Aside from that, there are more features that separate the two ranges. Firstly, the Pro model has a carved, arch top while the Standard flat 'slab' body. The nickel frets are upgraded to stainless steel frets. The 'Sonorous Zero' pickups are upgraded to 'Sonorous' modes. The tuners become high end Hipshot models. The headstock on the Pro model earns itself an Ebony veneer. Finally, All Pro Series guitars have hard shell cases instead of gig bags.
The Chapman Standard ML1 Traditional is available in 'Lunar' (Translucent Black) and 'Coffee' (Vintage-style sunburst). The Standard ML1 Modern is available in Lunar and also 'Midnight Sky' which is a dark translucent Blue burst.
Yes is is! The ML1-7 is the model you are looking for. It is part of the Pro Series and is available in two finishes: Lunar and Unicorn Burst.
Chapman guitars use their own pickup designs which are made in the same factory as the guitars. The ML1 Traditional model has three 'Venus Witch Zero' single coils. The ML1 Modern has two 'Sonorous Zero' humbuckers. The 'Zero' suffix is to distinguish these pickups from others in the range with similar names.
