The GN20CE uses Takamine's most famous body design - the NEX - to create an affordable guitar that is big on sound and low on price. This body size is a little bit smaller than a standard jumbo size but retains much of the big sound that jumbos are noted for. This is ideal because the guitar itself is a good deal more comfortable to get to grips with and is very 'lap-friendly'!
Sonically, the body size works with the solid Cedar top and laminated Mahogany to produce a warm, balanced sound with a strong upper mid response that records exceptionally well and suits strumming techniques in particular. There is a cutaway on the lower bout to facilitate upper fret access. The Natural finish has some nicely contrasting black and white binding around it to finish things neatly.
Takamine's own design TP-4T Preamp and pickup system is fitted to ensure live performances sound professional and inspiring. This guitar is a handsome and affordable choice for players looking for a good songwriting machine with a warm tone that will just keep on improving the more you play it.
