The Custom 24 is perhaps the defining guitar for PRS: it’s the original design Paul Reed Smith took around with him to trade shows and rock gigs in the mid 80s to foster interest in his creations. It remains a cornerstone of the USA range and indeed the SE line of import guitars. This exciting limited edition model changes things up with a maple fingerboard and some custom finishes!

Adding to the original double cutaway mahogany (with flamed maple top) body is a 24 fret maple neck and fretboard with a PRS-standard scale length of 25” and those famous Bird inlays! SE models have never actually had maple boards before so this is quite unusual and exclusive. The neck is carved into a Wide Thin profile, as Custom 24’s have traditionally always been. The patented PRS-design tremolo keeps things steady as a rock even under duress, with no need for locking nuts or tuners.

A pair of 85/15 “S” humbuckers, modelled after the sound and response of the American models, are fitted and include a push/pull col tap for thinned out single coil sounds. This guitar can do funky, slinky, chunky and wild! There aren’t many instruments out there as versatile as the Custom 24: the value for money is astounding. This model is finished in the limited edition finish Purple Mist with a matching headstock.
