Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Heritage Cherry Sunburst

I've just received my 3rd guitar from guitarguitar online & I'm thrilled once again. I purchased a Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s in Heritage Cherry & it looks amazing. I got a really great price & a free next day delivery. They had 8 in stock, but I naively didn't realise that their website listings are interactive & detailed photos of all 8 guitars were posted there. I just took the default option, which I now know was a bit risky. The Gibson Les Paul is a quality product at a substantive price, but I knew that I had to have one (actually ANOTHER one). Every single guitar Gibson makes is very different, from the colour of the burst due to the unique grain of the wood & the book matching of the Maple top. As a result they can look so very different. My luck was in though, I got the perfect guitar for my personal taste & if I had known I could have chosen any of the 8, I would have chosen this one. guitarguitar do offer a 3 year warranty & a 30 day exchange so that is great peace of mind. I can heartily recommend guitarguitar & especially the Gibson Les Paul.

This is my 3rd purchase from guitarguitar & once again I'm thrilled with another perfect transaction & especially with my new guitar. I already have a Gibson Les Paul Classic, which I love & recently purchased an (inspired by Gibson) LP Standard Epiphone '59, which is also a great guitar. However this '50s LP Standard Burst in Heritage Cherry is out of this world. The finish is perfect as is the tone. I hadn't realised that every single LP with the Burst finish is unique, because of the individual grain of the wood. guitarguitar had several to choose from & I struck lucky with this one as the book matched Maple top is exactly to my taste. I think that the US made Gibson LP is perhaps 50% better than my Chinese made Epiphone, although at 4 times the price. However it was an informed choice to buy the Gibson & if you have the resources then go with the US made guitars every time.

Nice guitar, heavy as you would expect from a full bodied Les Paul no chambering or weight relief just as it should be. Burst bucker I & 2 pickups sound great but I prefer the 57 classics myself but that's purely subjective. ' On the whole a very nice quality guitar.

What can I say - Gibson have knocked it out the park with this guitar. Great play, fabulous sound and stunning looks

Having tried some Gibson custom and being blown away I tried 60s and 50s standards in an effort to avails remortgaging the house or selling an organ… and I was impressed! No way the same as the amazing 59 VOS residue I really wanted but 50’s standard got me most of the way there. Being able to choose top and weight was a real bonus having tried some proper hefty guitars in the shop. Ordering online has enabled me to find an amazing guitar and I was close rodent I could return if it wasn’t for me.

Played a couple of Les Paul Standards, 50s and 60s, in store, had this one transfered from the warehouse to try, and knew straight away it was the one for me. My first Standard, and it does not disappoint. Nice weight, just under 9 lbs, resonant, pickups balanced, sounds fantastic.

A beautiful guitar, what's not to like.

Waited many years to own one of these and it certainly didn't disappoint when it arrived! No regrets at all.

As this was an ex demo guitar with a little set up and tlc it’s now perfect.

This was my dream guitar growing up and now I own one! As soon as it was in my hands, I knew I had to buy it. I noticed a huge difference in the neck of the 50's compared to the 60's. The 50's was way more natural for me and just so playable.

Picked up a new Les Paul standard and absolutely delighted with it, looks and plays like a dream! A great return from Gibson to its roots and delivering exactly what’s the customer wants.Also a big step up on quality from Gibson from recent years, a true return to form!

Always the concern buying online is that the instrument doesn’t like up to expectations, can’t say that in this case. The finish is better than expected and the Les Paul plays beautifully, definitely should have bought one years ago. I would have visited a shop for this purchase but no Les Paul’s were available near to my home.

Parting with L2200 pounds i expect guitars finish to be at a better standard. The guitar play very good and sounds amazing

I love this guitar, absolutely amazing tone and sustain. Build quality is excellent. Aesthetically very pleasing. The case feels and looks very high quality. One of the nicest guitars I've ever played.

I delayed for a number of months because of the price, and there are many excellent guitars in this price bracket. It is awesome. No adjustment to action or intonation. Couldn't be happier
