What we say:

At A Glance

The Gibson ES-345 offers some elegant looking upgrades to the traditional ES-335 model. It takes its cues from the original but has updated it with some modern features that deliver superb tone and quality. A thermally engineered maple centerblock and quarter-sawn adirondack spruce bracing create a lightweight yet sturdy construction. A hand-rolled Rounded C mahogany neck is a comfortable and faithful historic touch. The T-Type pickups give a slightly different tonal flavour but maintain a sound that we all know and love. The inlays definitely set it apart and add to the overall elegance of this finely crafted instrument.

Features We Love:

Gibson T-Type Pickups

A pair of Calibrated T-Type pickups deliver a superb variety of humbucker sounds. Based on the old 'T-Top' pickups, these are a welcomed addition due to the high popularity of the originals. More modern sounding than the PAF, they deliver a classic sound with a touch of the contemporary.

Vintage Deluxe Tuners

The tuners look great with the keystone buttons but more importantly, they perform to a high standard. The tuning stability is impressive and along with the aluminium bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, intonation is accurate.

Split Parallelogram Inlays

Exclusive to the 345, these beautifully crafted and designed inlays are a standout feature. You won't find them anywhere else within the ES series making this instrument a truly unique choice for anyone that is after something extra special.

Highlights:

  • Gibson build quality
  • Classic design with some modern features for greater tone
  • Great for those looking for a unique ES style guitar

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (4 reviews)

I suppose the ES345 is my dream guitar - ever since I saw Bill Nelson playing one way back in the 1970s. The sound Bill made was quite incredible to my ears and I thought one day I will own of those amazing guitars. I didn't think it would take me this long, but I finally bought one at Guitarguitar - and I have not been disappointed - a great instrument which sounds and looks terrific. I particularly like the chevron neck inlays, a really classy touch. You just don't want to put it back in it's case. Will I ever take it out of the house and gig with it - not sure about that - but they are made to be played.

This guitar is absolutely fantastic right out of the box. The action and set is perfect. I always panic a bit when ordering on line and contacted guitarguitar for some reassurance. They told me gibson had stepped up their game with quality control, and they weren't wrong! Can't recommend getting a cherry red 345 enough, to me it's an upgrade to the 335 and at a discount from guitarguitar. Thanks again

Classic guitar and set up straight from the case

Love it. Right now my favourite guitar. Easy to play, setup great out of the case and sounds amazing.
