Since the arrival of a sunburst finish on its carved maple top in 1958, the Gibson Les Paul Standard has been considered the most elegant solidbody electric guitar on the planet. Occasional examples of these rare guitars from 1958-60 showed off gorgeously figured wood beneath their translucent 'burst finishes, setting a standard for the marriage of art and luthiery. Taking this look to its extreme, the Gibson USA Les Paul Supreme carries a more ornate design which represents the ultimate Les Paul.

This item was appraised as follows:
Body: 3 out of 5 - Instrument has been used and shows evidence of its life in the forms of checking, chips and other superficial wear and tear. Metal parts and hardware may be mildly tarnished or stained and cosmetically imperfect.
Neck: 4 out of 5 - The frets are in good order and the instrument plays cleanly and intonates accurately across the fingerboard.
Additional Information: This guitar is in great condition for its age. The clear coat and the knobs have ambered over, giving it a vintage look. There are a few lacquer cracks and small dents around the guitar but nothing major. The gold hardware has tarnished evenly.
This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.

This item has been modified as follows: The pickups have been replaced with Bareknuckles, but because they don't label their pickups there is no way of noting which models they are.
